Serena Williams is one of the most successful athletes in the United States’ glorious sporting history. From a very young age, she was determined to achieve big. From winning her first Grand Slam title in 1999 at the age of 17 to becoming the oldest women Grand Slam finalist.
Serena has come a long way in her illustrious career. She has gone on to win the most Grand Slam titles in the Open Era. Furthermore, she is just a Major title away from equaling Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 Grand Slam titles.
Partnering with her sister, Venus Williams, she has found success on the doubles circuit too. The Williams sisters have gone on to clinch 14 Grand Slam doubles titles.
Further, there have been many pillars to support her throughout her career. The likes of Richard Williams, her father, and her first professional coach, Rick Macci, have truly shaped the career of the great champion. Recently, she revealed one of the reasons behind her success on the court.
I need to feel confident on the court, and an unsupportive bra is the last thing I want to worry about. I’ve worn Berlei since 2006, their extreme support gives me freedom to move, so I can focus on what’s really important – the match. #BerleiAus #InSupportOfYou pic.twitter.com/KyMQq2hVCD

Serena Williams reveals how Berlei made her feel confident on the court
Recently, Serena featured in an advertisement campaign for Berlei. Further, talking about how it has helped her in her career, she said, “I need to feel confident on the court, and an unsupportive bra is the last thing I want to worry about. I’ve worn Berlei since 2006, their extreme support gives me freedom to move, so I can focus on what’s really important – the match.”
It was her mother who introduced her to this brand. Serena’s mother discovered Berlei on a shopping trip to Myer in 2006. Further, it has enabled Serena to perform confidently on the court. Moreover, her immense success is proof of this fact.
Although suffering from injuries over the past few years, Serena has expressed a desire to make a comeback to tennis. However, with age not by her side, it will be an extremely challenging task for the 23-time Grand Slam champion.
